This is the course for trainers, managers and anyone else who has to design and deliver presentations or communication that pack a punch and influence.

For more than 15 years Dr. Stephanie Burns conducted a face to face course to train trainers, coaches, managers and leaders the art of presenting with the intent to influence others. Be that to influence sales, understanding, perceptions or change.

For many members of organisations this training was considered THE training in the artistry of presentation and influence. If you have experienced Stephanie in action in a meeting or large group lecture you know the unique presentation style she commands. Her capacity to teach others in this style is well known.

The Storyteller Training delves students into the world of presenting in a conversational style that captures the attention of the audience and compels action.

The course is comprised of 9 rich lessons on presentation behaviour each with their own unique real world assignment.

The Storyteller Trainer is conducted with a small team of others who are delivered from Base Camp to a site deep in the woods. It is a place where you can intimately explore your existing communication behaviour and begin to develop a whole new set of skills for "knowing what you know" and accessing that knowledge coherently in conversation without aids.

The art of the great Storyteller is possible for anyone willing to spend a few weeks in the dark forest, home of The Storyteller Training.

general requirements

You MUST have easy access to both email and the Internet during the week. These two mediums are used to deliver the lessons and assignments. Emails can be sent to a home addresses just as easily if it helps.

You may miss lessons due to unexpected situations. You can easily make up those lessons without feeling left behind. However, it is suggested that you do not start the course if they know in advance that you will be missing for large portions of time during a course. The course emails and materials can easily be accessed from anywhere in the world.

All of Stephanie's courses have been well-designed for busy people. There is a gentle push to support the development of the course activities becoming a normal part of each day's routine. For the effort it takes to start that routine it becomes one seriously missed when the program ends.

Having said that though, you must understand that learning, of any significant quality, is not free. It does require some time and effort. For the weeks you are involved in a course it becomes one aspect of your job.

You will be well taken care of at all times.

Time requirements

This is an 8 week course following a short orientation lesson in Base Camp. There are 9 discrete lessons and assignments. The lessons will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes to read. The assignment time will vary depending upon how you intend to use the skills being taught. Things can be done quickly to gain experience and then more seriously in the future as you wish to grow your competency in this area of skill.
